FT use in bounding first fire

IIRC, they have something like 14 AF on the front and very weak, possibly 3, on the side, so the bazooka won't work from the front. You absolutely have to plan for these beasts and spread your assets so you'll always have a side shot; their weakness is they have to get extremely close.

FT use in bounding first fire

I don't have my scans of HT scenarios with me, but there's a Hatten scenario ("Fahrenheit 352", if memory serves) where the Germans have some pretty deadly vehicles with FTs and rather high frontal armor. I've killed my fair share of lone Shermans with these babies.

    eHASL up on Wargame Vault

I have the same difficulty using the hyperlinks between one rulebook and the other - in my case, on a Linux/Ubuntu system, using evince as the PDF reader. The red links are recognized as such when pointing within the file, but not from one document to the other.

FT use in bounding first fire

Vehicular-mounted FT are the ultimate hit-and-run (bounding fire) tank killers. At least until your opponent understands the important points: your AF won't save you, turning your front to the enemy won't save you going Motion won't save you

    eHASL up on Wargame Vault

I'll probably get it 'cause it's so convenient, but the price tag ($75) is a bit steep.

    LOF on a Bypassing AFV

Isn't the Russian vehicle in O5 the target of the shot? It would not create a Hindrance when being fired at...

    Exiting a foxhole under wire

OK, so if you're gonna put Wire on your Pillboxes, better place a Trench next to it as well. (Better put Wire in the two adjacent CA hexes as well, but that's a bit costly in most setups)

    Exiting a foxhole under wire

I have the same interpretation, but it is not easy to find a rules reference that supports this. All I managed to find was the last sentence of B26.4, "they may engage in CC with units beneath the Wire ..., including units inside an entrenchment or pillbox", which indicates that units in an...

    DROP-ZONE: CHEF-du-PONT -- Up for preorder

Not preordering, but I'll definitely buy this when it comes out.

    Linking counters via crtl-alt-L

As a downside to the (new?) Ctrl-E [Create Acquisition] / Ctrl-Alt-L [Link counters]: when you start from a single selected Gun/Vehicle and do Ctrl-E then Ctrl-Alt-L, you end up with a linked Acquisition on your Gun, but both are still selected. So to then move the new Acquisition to its proper...

    VASL6.7.1-beta4 is released

"Just do X" is not a painless solution for every user. I don't see why implementing this as an option (if it's done correctly) would be a problem.

    Several Rules Questions

And, I believe, a Gun does as well.

    Broken Ground Design Thread

No boards at hand, but I believe other winterized boards tend to make Brush kinda white, with some texture to tell it apart from Open Ground; on this board the Brush looks rather springy.

D3.51 TCA change NA if target is not Known...

I know I always forget about this rule, because I have no idea what it is trying to simulate. I know one should not try to see too much in the "simulation" aspects of the game, but I'd like to know what the reason is for such a very specific restriction. Also, if more than one shot has...

    A7.7 Encirclement

I suppose the argument against Encirclement would be the fact that the two attacks originate from hexes that are far from 180 degrees from each other; for example, the LOS lines enter the target hex from the "same side" of the hexside middle. But, A7.7 only cares about which hexsides/vertices...
