The End of the World Expansion Announced for Dawn of Fantasy


Reverie World Studios has announced plans for the imminent expansion event to their flagship MMORTS game - Dawn of Fantasy. Due to start next week this massive expansion event, titled The End of the World, promises to greatly enhance the gameplay experience in Dawn of Fantasy's Online Kingdom. And in Dawn of Fantasy's best traditions - this expansion event is absolutely free!

The Mayans have predicted it. The media raved about it for over two years. And now it's finally here... The End of the World is coming to Dawn of Fantasy. It's not the Aliens, or global warming - it's much, much scarier. They burn everything in their path, leaving nothing but ash and ruins, exterminating Life itself. The Dragons are coming!

The new expansion event invites players to fight for survival as the game world burns around them. Working alone or in co-op mode players will have to overcome the greatest foe imaginable. All major towns of the realm now lie in ruins, and only by working together will the players be able to reclaim the realm, and avert the end of the world.

Guild Wars 2 Update Shows Fans the Wonder and Scope of Online Worlds


NCSOFT and ArenaNet are excited to release the second major content update within three months since launch for Guild Wars 2 this week, entitled The Lost Shores. Arriving November 15, the update brings many new features to the game and will be highlighted by a multi-stage, one-time event that will forever change the world of Guild Wars 2.

A Mini-Expansion

Following the hugely successful multi-stage mystery of the recent Halloween event, the Lost Shores update continues ArenaNet’s tradition of delivering regular content, compelling events, and unequalled ease of access in its regular game releases, all subscription-free. The Lost Shores update is a mini-expansion worth of new content that brings players an unprecedented amount of new areas to explore, challenges to conquer and goals to achieve. This is all punctuated with a massive one-time event that will change Tyria forever.

In addition to numerous improvements and additions across the entirety of the game, major features that players can look forward to include:

WoW: Mists of Pandaria Global Launch Celebration Announced


Blizzard Entertainment today unveiled plans for several official global launch events celebrating the upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. Beginning on the evening of September 24, key retail partners in the US, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the UK, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and the region of Taiwan will welcome gamers who will be among the first to purchase and play the highly anticipated fourth expansion for the world's most popular subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Members of the World of Warcraft development team will be on hand at many of the official launch events to meet players and sign their copies of the game.

Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond is Now Starlite

Project Whitecard Studios Inc. announced today that the NASA-themed online game formerly named Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond will now be known as Starlite.

Starlite is an adventure game focused on mankind’s future missions into the outer reaches of the solar system, this time to stay. The game will feature mission-based space exploration, career advancement and awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The game is being privately funded and developed in accordance with a “Space Act Agreement” with NASA Learning Technologies.

Project Whitecard Studios Inc. will enable delivery of Starlite on browsers and mobile-based platforms enabling users to play from virtually anywhere and recently announced a collaboration with MindArk, developers of Entropia Universe.

Launch of Guild Wars 2 Approacheth


NCsoft, the world’s premier publisher and developer of massively multiplayer online games (MMOs) and ArenaNet, developer of the renowned Guild Wars franchise, are ready to unleash Guild Wars 2 to millions of eagerly-awaiting fans around the world on 28th August. World of Tanks Update 8.0 to Add New Physics and Improved Graphics

in today announced its highly anticipated Update 8.0 for its free to play MMO action game World of Tanks. The update will mark a major overhaul for the game and will introduce a newly improved game engine, as well as other new features and content.

Update 8.0 will add to the game critical new features, including for the first time ever, realistic tank movement physics, as well as new game rendering improvements. The enhanced renderer will introduce lifelike splash and water wave effects, as well as add support for deferred shading for medium and higher preset graphics.

A host of new additions and improvements will also include emblem and inscription customization, adaptive camouflage, mini-map functions, and an enhanced tech tree interface. War Z Announced


Arktos Entertainment Group and Hammerpoint Interactive, a new independent game development studio located in Los Angeles, Calif., are finally lifting the veil and announcing their debut title, The War Z (TWZ). A session-based, massively multiplayer online game (MMO), The War Z is inspired by all things zombie and is set in a true post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested world where other players can prove to be a greater threat than the undead hordes that populate the land. The game is slated for release in fall 2012 for the Windows PC platform.

“The whole team is completely obsessed with the zombie culture as well as with post-apocalyptic games like Fallout,” said Eric Nordin, senior game designer for The War Z. “Since we started the design of the game, we have continued to incorporate new features that inspire us as we go. At the end of the day we want to ship a game that we want to play ourselves and we’re hoping that other gamers will recognize our passion and be excited about playing as well!”
