Title Updates for the console editions of the acclaimed tactical shooter will arrive prior to the launch of the ‘Skirmish’ DLC pack on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network. The Title Update for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft edition of the game will be available November 5th, with the Title Update for the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system edition to follow shortly.

The ‘Skirmish’ video, available from www.flashpointgame.com, demonstrates the breadth of exhilarating new content. Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is the official sequel to Bohemia Interactive Studios’ 2001 release, Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. This time around Codemasters has taken the reigns as BIS has moved on to bigger and better things including developing their own milsim shooter known as ArmA. Long missions and intense firefights give Dragon Rising an unquestionable sense of realism, but bugs, bland visuals and horrendous AI hinder what enjoyment there is from the game’s realistic setting.

Lock ‘n Load

The year is 2010 and the global economic crisis is the worst seen since the great depression. China takes the hardest hit as consumer demand for the nations goods plummet, causing massive rioting as China’s oil reserves begin to deplete. Seeing no other alternative, the communist government mobilizes its troops along the China-Russia border as it invades the tiny oil rich island of Skira. Russia seeks the aid of the United States and convinces the American government that a surprise US invasion to liberate Skira Island from China would be the best course of action.

CyberPower Announces Operation Flashpoint Video Contest

The battle lines have been drawn on remote Skira Island. To the victors go the spoils of war – CyberPower Gamer Dragon 9000 gaming rigs that include the latest AMD Phenom II processors and ATI graphics cards, a wide screen monitor, top of the line keyboards, and other cool prizes. The defeated will be lost and forgotten.

CyberPower is teaming up with online gaming community Xfire for its Operation Flashpoint Video Capture Contest, which features over $5,000 worth of prizes. And, all you have to do to keep the world safe and win these prizes is to record some grisly raw Operation Flashpoint game footage with the Xfire Video Capture application function and get your friends to vote for your video.

Dragon Rising "Look and Feel" Video

We at GameSquad just can't wait to get our hands on Codemaster's forthcoming title, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.  Fortunately, the street date is just fours days away here in the States, so not too much longer now.  Still, it seems like a lifetime...especially after viewing this latest developer video, entitled "Look and Feel".  Enjoy!

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Gets a Ship Date

Codemasters today announced that Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, the tactical shooter that's set to take players as close to war as they'll ever want to get, will be shipping on October 6th in North America and releasing on October 8th through EPAC territories with a October 9th street date in the UK.

A truly explosive 'Armoury' video, available today from www.flashpointgame.com, showcases the devastating effects of the authentic modern weapon systems which gamers can deploy in Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising's uniquely intense battles.
