Call of Duty is doomed! Doomed! At least that is what various “industry experts” and a large swath of the internet would have you believe. Despite Modern Warfare 3’s impressive sales record – over 20 million units sold - and Call of Duty Elite, Activision’s premium service, registering a whopping 2.3 million paid members, naysayers would still have you believe that the Call of Duty franchise is played out. Who knows, maybe it is. But if it is…why are so many people eagerly anticipating the latest news about the next franchise installment, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2? And why is this multiplayer trailer proving to be so popular?
If Call of Duty is dead, than be prepared for a zombie apocalypse because I think Black Ops 2 is going to raise the franchise from the grave.
