ASL errata and Q&A

Added errata from ASL Journal #14. Removed some entries that were duplicates of items in Klas's compilation v30, or incorporated into the ASLRBv2. Added some errata that is unofficial but obvious upon inspection, e.g. typos like "July" instead of "June" in some places in DZ:SME.

Added Overlay Bundle errata, note on A7.9 telling where to find the rule that says a unit and all its SW are marked with a fire counter when it cowers, missing AP4 errata and link to old product page, and a missing A24.31 & C3.33 Q&A from An97. Removed a Q&A contradicted by a later Q&A in Klas's compilation. Updated URLs of sources to archive.org to maintain access to the old multimanpublishing.com website, and mmpgamers.com website in case that name ever changes.

What's the difference between your Q&A compilation and Klas's. Should I be searching both?

Yes, search both.

My compilation has older Q&A, and official (i.e., published by AH or MMP) errata. Klas's has PerrySez. I started mine before the Web and portable devices were common, so mine has extra references to help when using a printed copy, e.g. the entry "A8.15 & A4.63 See prior entry." is with the other A8.15 entries.

I think I was the first to cite abbreviations of the sources in square brackets. To save paper in earlier versions I had a list of miscellaneous official and unofficial sources at the end, and references to [Misc###] and [Letter###] in the entries, but as more and more of them were incorporated with errata to the rules, and size became less of a concern, a couple years ago I replaced those with the full source description.

I regret not keeping the earliest versions. The earliest I have is version 16 from April 1998. But back then I was more worried about disk space than nostalgia. :-D

I am trying this as a experiment: I integrated Klas's compilation version 33. This doubled the size of this, to 200 pages. I am interested in feedback; is the added size worth the integration?

I find the v29 document hard to look at with all of Klas' Perry Sez coloured in red. Having to search one document instead of two is a benefit. I use electronic versions of both documents in a PDF viewer, so searching is straightforward. I imagine the merger was a one time effort and going forward you need only add new Perry Sez whenever Klas publishes (or have you talked to him about taking on that task in your document). Is the red font a one time thing?

Those are change bars, showing what was added (or deleted) from v28. Merging was a huge effort, but from now on I only have to merge the changes. I will post a v29 without the change bars in a few minutes. Klas said it was easy for him to update his version; maybe he already wrote tools to grab the PerrySez posted here.

I posted three different "flavors" of version 30: one without the changes indicated (for Letter-sized paper), one for A4-sized paper, and one with changebars and color showing the changes (and for Letter-sized paper). They are otherwise the same.

I'm ashamed I didn't think of doing both Letter and A4 sizes earlier. As of now, 20 people have downloaded version 30 in the A4 size, as opposed to only 6 who downloaded it in Letter size.
